Costasiella kuroshimae are famed for their resemblance to the cartoon character Shaun the Sheep of Wallace and Gromit fame. They are actually tiny slugs in the 3mm range that subsist by sucking the sap from a particular type of algae called Avrainvillea. This one was captured using a Nikon D850 camera with a 105mm macro lens and a Nauticam SMC-2 magnifying lens, as well as a snooted strobe to isolate the subject
